Who is responsible

Fook Hwa Tan is responsible for the personal information handled through this website. You can raise a privacy question through the contact form.

Contact enquiries

When you submit the form, the website receives your name, email address, optional organisation, enquiry type and message. This information is used to review your enquiry, respond to you and, where relevant, discuss requested professional or church-related contact.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request and the legitimate interest in responding to genuine enquiries. Please do not submit passwords, highly sensitive personal information or confidential incident details.

Service providers and international processing

The website is hosted through Cloudflare. When you submit the contact form, a Cloudflare Pages Function processes your message and delivers it by email through Resend, a transactional email provider. To reduce automated abuse, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused check that does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. These providers may process limited technical and message data, including in countries outside the European Economic Area, under their own security and data-protection commitments.

Retention

Contact information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage any resulting professional relationship, protect the website from abuse and meet legal obligations. Messages that do not lead to an ongoing relationship should be deleted when they are no longer useful.

Hosting, security and logs

Cloudflare may process IP addresses and basic request information to deliver and protect the website. The private family area is additionally protected by Cloudflare Access and is excluded from search indexing. Security controls do not make any internet service risk-free, but the site is intentionally designed to minimise exposed personal data.

Cookies, analytics and subscriptions

The public website currently uses no advertising trackers, marketing cookies or newsletter subscription database. A local browser preference may be stored when you choose an Amazon region on the writing page. If privacy-respecting analytics or a mailing-list service is added later, this notice will be updated before that feature is enabled.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Use the contact form to make a request; reasonable identity verification may be required.
